Buddha's Birthday

It's the month of May and it's the month that African, East Asian and Indians celebrate Buddha's birthday. I was curious to know if anyone celebrates and if so how? My tribe chants and meditates but now with the many forms of Buddhism I wondered if anyone in the west celebrated at all.
